Context
For this project, I selected the biography of British singer-songwriter Adele and reimagined it as a Christmas Special Edition, transforming a factual archive into a narrative-driven editorial experience.
Rather than relying on photographs or literal imagery, I developed an original visual language using typography as the primary design element. Inspired by British culture and the atmosphere of the Christmas season, every visual expression was built through type, creating a rich and immersive editorial experience on a clean white canvas.
Beyond the book itself, the identity was developed into a scalable system with applications across bookstore displays, exhibition graphics, promotional materials, and environmental branding.

Logic
Concept
1. Chapter 1–2 | Intro 🎄
Adele's name is transformed into a Christmas tree and gift box system, introducing the editorial concept through typography.
2. Chapter 3 | Personal Life 🇬🇧
The geometric structure of the British flag is abstracted into a typographic composition, while the body text references the striped pattern of a candy cane.
3. Chapter 4 | Legacy 🍞 🏠
The letters A and D are transformed into gingerbread-inspired graphic motifs, while the text layout draws inspiration from the windows of a gingerbread house.
4. Chapter 5 | Artistry: Voice / Genre ⛄️
Certeau Pro Oblique is used throughout the body text to create a rhythmic flow reminiscent of falling snow, reinforcing the atmosphere of the Christmas season.
5. Chapter 6 | Achievements 🏆
The letters E, L, and E are reinterpreted as trophy-inspired forms, visually connecting Adele's award-winning career with the editorial content.
6. Chapter 7–8 🎄
A Christmas tree-inspired typographic graphic serves as a recurring visual motif throughout the closing chapters, reinforcing the editorial identity.
